While driving through Far West Texas on my way back from a multi-day hiking trip in the Grand Canyon, I snapped a photo of the incredibly flat and desolate highway. I was so inspired by the colors and lines that I decided to turn the photo into a drawing and eventually a painting. For me, this illustration captures the feeling of freedom I get on the open road.
